Wish Upon A Star

As a leading UK retail centre with over 30 million visitors a year, Meadowhall, and owners British Land, set us the ambitious brief of re-dfining the standard for a Christmas experience.

The result was “Wish Upon A Star with Santa.”
The innovative visitor experience exceeded the expectations of what a visit to meet Santa could be. Families were transported to a world of enchantment that included a magical forest, a stargazing observatory, star-making workshop and, of course, meeting Santa himself.

The project planning and delivery included installation and removal of the event during the highest footfall period of the year for Meadowhall; the location of the 300 square metre experience was on one of the centre’s main external concourses; liaison with the Christmas Lights Switch On event – a major seasonal event for the centre and the region.

Through detailed set, sensory design and customer journey planning, Wish Upon A Star with Santa set a new standard for events as a key part of retail destination marketing.
